MASQWORD Terms of Service

Effective: 2026-10-06 · Русская версия ниже

MASQWORD («the Game», «we», «us») is a party game for telling stories with hidden words, available as a Discord Activity and in the browser at kontrabanda.smehuytina.workers.dev. By launching or playing the Game you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.

1. Who can play

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by Discord in your country, if higher). Scenes contain humour written for teens and adults; a host decides which content pack a room uses.
• Inside Discord you must also follow the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

2. The service

• The Game is provided free of charge, as a public beta, «as is» and «as available». Rooms, scores, chat messages and stories are temporary and may be lost at any time.
• We may change, pause or discontinue any part of the Game, the content packs or the rules without notice.
• Cosmetic items (masks, frames, card backs, reactions) never affect gameplay. If paid cosmetics are introduced, their purchase terms will be shown at the point of sale and governed by the platform's purchase terms (for example Discord's).

3. Your conduct

• Stories, chat messages, nicknames, custom scenes and words you enter are your responsibility. Do not post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexual involving minors, or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Do not attempt to break the Game: cheating, automated clients, abusing rate limits, probing the server or interfering with other rooms.
• A room host may remove players from their room; we may block access for abuse.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to what you say and write. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to transmit, display and temporarily store that content only as needed to run the Game (for example delivering your suspicion cards to the other players in your room). Custom content packs uploaded by a host are shown only to that host's room unless the host chooses otherwise.

5. Our content

The Game, its artwork, scenes, word banks, code and the MASQWORD name belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, sell or redistribute them outside the Game. Streaming, recording and sharing your games is welcome.

6. No warranty, limited liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost data or lost games arising from use of the Game. The Game is a hobby project without any guaranteed uptime or support.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms; the effective date above will change and continued use means acceptance. Questions: rostisalvkopernik@gmail.com.
